The Friday day crew was able to triple pull for a field fire along Long Lane, east of New Danville. Engine 2 and the tanker handled the fire, while Rescue/Engine 1 handled extinguishment of some smoldering corn fodder on a combine, which had been driven away from the burning field. Incident was handled quickly with no property damage. Earlier in the day, around 0700 hrs, RE 1 handled a crash on Route 324, about a mile south of the firehouse.
